The Tinker Rangers, playing their fourth game of the National Adult Baseball Association season, had to break out their rally caps against the Dynasty Sunday afternoon at Lake Hefner Field.
After spotting the Dynasty a two-run lead after two innings, the Rangers rallied for nine runs over the next four innings and had to hold on in the late innings for a 9-7 victory. This win was the second consecutive victory for the Rangers in four attempts.
The Rangers were led offensively by William Nystrom, who went 2-for-4 with three runs batted in. He was the leader during the six-run sixth inning after belting a two-run homer over the left field fence.
Courtenay Wheeler also sparked the Rangers hitting attack by going 3-for-4. Wheeler also pitched the final 1 1/3 innings, surrendering just one hit en route to the save.
Stephen Escalante scattered seven hits and gave up four runs over 3 1/3 innings to collect the win.
With the win, the Rangers improved to 2-2 on the young season while the loss dropped the Dynasty to 1-3.
